Abstract

olycrystalline Nd0.5 La0.2 Sr0.3 MnO3:(x) Ag(x = 0, 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3) composites aresynthesized by solid-state reaction route. These compounds are found to be crystallized in orthorhombic structural form. On addition of silver, the range of TMIvaries from 288 K(for NLAg0) to near room temperature 302 K (for NLAg2). The scanningelectron micrographs of all the composites having better grain growth and their connectivity. On addition of silver, the temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) significantly improved from 2.9 (for x = 0) to 7.4(for x = 0.3). High TCR and room temperature TMIare useful for MEMS based uncooled microbolometers for night vision infrared detection.
