Abstract

Herein, a concise approach to construct the novel tricyclic ether frameworks, is presented. Microwave-assisted dual C-C bond-forming palladium-catalyzed intramolecular Heck/intermolecular Sonogashira couplings were implemented, for the synthesis of dihydrobenfurans bearing acetylene moiety, followed by acid-induced intramolecular hydroarylation reaction of the crude reaction mixture furnished the tricyclic ether systems. Notably, these tricyclic ether frameworks have been achieved, in excellent yields, through a single column chromatography process.
