Abstract

To grasp the essence of organic chemistry, quickly comes to one’s mind is the C–C bond forming reaction than any other transformation. C–C bond-forming reactions have emerged an enormously significant and vital role in modeling chemical synthesis. In this context, a new paradigm of C–C bond-forming reactions evolved based on transition-metal catalysts as an influential tools in synthesis. Transition-metal catalysis has developed new emerging opportunities to furnace C– C bonds between or within functionalized and delicate substrates, mostly in total synthesis, medicinal and process chemistry, chemical biology and nanotechnology. Palladium-catalyzed coupling reaction is the most noticeable among them. In addition to that, the synthesis of organic molecules involves a stepwise operation for the construction of individual bonds. These synthetic transformation can be more efficient and viable when several bonds are formed in a one-pot fashion and/or in a sequential one-pot. Thus one-pot synthetic approaches have been indispensable in organic chemistry.
