Abstract

Photo Detector is a sensor that detects light (and other Electromagnetic energies) and converts the detected energy into measureable electrical quantities with applications ranging from medical diagnosis to nuclear installations. The need for these kinds of applications is light, stable, highly sensitive sensor with a very low response time.It is a known fact that the III-V semiconductors are being used as materials to detect photons. But with their low efficiency using III-V semiconductors as a standalone detector is not a feasible option means for further electron multiplication must be used for better efficiency
